Out and about
Reduce
If you`re taking lunch with you on your day out, use re-sealable containers instead of over packaged convenience foods.
Don`t forget to use rechargeable batteries in your portable music players.
Reuse
Start a book club with friends and colleagues. Sharing books saves resources and money - and it`s great for your social life!
When exercising or walking take a drink with you in a reusable bottle.
When out and about having a picnic choose reusable containers and flasks to store your food and drink.
If it`s a rainy day and the kids are bored, why not get them making things with household `junk.`
Recycle
If you attend a class or activity at a local school or sports centre, don`t just bin your rubbish, look out for the recycle point.
Most campsites will have a recycle point, if they don`t then store your recyclables in a carrier bag hung on the car wing mirror. Put it in the boot and then drop it off next time you visit the shops.
